About Liz

Welcome! I'm Liz

Wellforlife evolved from Liz adopting a wholefood plant-based lifestyle to overcome her own health challenge in 2016

I was determined right from the beginning that I would take full responsibility for my health recovery. There was so much information on the internet it was so hard to know where to start. I decided to train as a Nutrition and Health Coach with IINH and I also trained as a living food instructor with the Herbal School of Medicine. I found that making changes was easier after educating myself about the impact food and lifestyle has on the body and the profound health benefits of being selective about what you choose to put into and onto the body.

I learned about the importance of Epigenetics, this is the study of how our behavior and environmental factors can cause changes that affect the way our genes work. Unlike genetic changes, it is evident that epigenetic changes are reversible. Several lifestyle factors have been identified that might modify epigenetic patterns, such as diet, obesity, physical activity, tobacco smoking, alcohol consumption, environmental pollutants, psychological stress, and working on night shifts. This means looking at how we eat, sleep, exercise and manage our mental & emotional wellbeing has a serious impact on our health. Although I was already practising a vegetarian diet for over 20 years, after much research I decided that I would transition to adopting a Wholefood Plant-based lifestyle. There are so many studies that showed the significant health benefits of this lifestyle. This way of living maximizes the consumption of nutrient dense food and minimises processed foods, oils and foods from animal sources.

Gradually over the next few years after my own health setback I began to adhere to a program of daily detoxification and boosting my vitality through organic wholefood plant-based food, daily juicing, yoga, energy healing, meditation and surrounding myself with positive likeminded people. I also became aware that what I put onto my body (body products) was also affecting my health due to the amount of chemicals in them. As much as I could I gradually changed my body and domestic cleaning products to healthier non- toxic versions. I now live in the countryside, where over the last few years I love growing my own organic vegetables, fruit and herbs. I enjoy robust good health and I am very grateful for the opportunity to share my knowledge, tips and insights to help you on your own personal health journey. I truly believe that health is not “one size fits all” so it’s important to see what works best for you. It’s important to provide the environment our body needs to remain healthy, and once we get that balance right healing can take place. For me, the journey has been a gradual progress and it is forever- changing as I continue to learn and grow.

My mission is to inspire, motivate and encourage you, and provide practical information about lifestyle changes that will enable you to live a full, healthy, and energetic life, one day at a time.
